Established in 1939
Santa Ynez River Water Conservation District was established by the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisorsby Resolution #3109 in October of 1939.
To protect your water rights, the District works with many other agencies.
Federal Government (USBR), State of California (DWR), County of Santa Barbara, Cities of Solvang, Buellton, and Lompoc, Community Services Districts of Vandenberg Village and Mission Hills, ID No. 1, Central Coast Water Authority (CCWA), Cachuma Operation & Maintenance Board (COMB), Central Coast Regional Board (CCRB), and Cachuma Member Units.
Local service agencies known as special districts provide access to a multitude of services that enhance our communities.
California's Special Districts provide vital services like water and energy, fire protection and public safety, treatment of waste water, and garbage removal and much more. They safeguard our communities, they work arduously to keep our families healthy, and they help our state thrive.
